The population pyramid of the R.O.C（Taiwan） was the expansive type with a very wide base and narrow top in 1960, when the proportion of population younger than 20 years old was over 50%. In recent years, it changes to the stationary type of population pyramid, indicating sufficient manpower of working age population. In 2065, with higher number of the old and lesser number of births, the population pyramid is projected to become the constrictive type, meaning that the society burden will be relatively heavier than before.
